Tour Description

Le Caudan Waterfront is a must-visit destination inaugurated on 25 November 1996. Named after the 18 th century French explorer, Jean Dominique Michel de Caudan, the establishment has earned a fine reputation.

The Port-Louis Central Market (also known as the Port Louis Bazaar) is one of the busiest markets in Mauritius and the market most visited by tourists.

Located on one of the highest parts of the National Park, is a viewpoint which is sure to take your breath away as you gaze towards the valley rich with bright green vegetation along with the occasional majestic Paille En Queue, which happens to be the national bird of Mauritius, gliding merrily about in its home.

Built on a hill in Port Louis, La Citadelle overlooks the Mauritian capital for nearly two centuries.

The Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanic Garden dates back to the French period. In 1736, the French governor, Mahé de Labourdonnais, chose to set up his domain around the present Main Gate at Pamplemousses.

The Museum is near the Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens and is open from Monday to Saturday from 10.00am to 4.00pm.Duration of the visit (estimated): 1h30 minimum; full and detailed visit: 3h. The visit includes a free tasting of more than 30 products at le Village Boutik including 11 unrefined brown sugars, rums of the New Grove House, jams and honey.

Located in the north of the country, Mont Choisy Beach is one of the most stunning beaches in Mauritius, in addition to its being the longest.

The views from Notre Dame Auxiliatrice, also known as ‘Cap Malheureux Red Church, is wonderful. The red-roofed church sits on the beach of Cap Malheureux and is attributed to many sources. Some say it was named after the sinking of the vessel Saint Geran on August 18, 1744, which inspired Bernardin de St Pierre to write his famous novel Paul & Virginie.

WHAT TO BRING AND TO WEAR

We advise you to bring sunscreen and a hat as Mauritius is a sunny island. A bottle of water is a must. You can wear whatever suits you as there is no dress code for excursions. But always remember on a south tour when visiting Ganga Talao(The sacred lake) if wearing open clothes, bring at least a scarf to cover yourself to show respect to people doing prayers.
